I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Moody's
Interview
3 telephonic rounds. mostly about your education and Previous company experience. nothing out of the box questions. Actually they want to hire some Top tier Grads at that time to show their clients. so, nothing much you can contribute at that time.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Moody's (New York, NY) in May 2014
Interview
I was first contacted by an HR representative and told I would be interviewed by a VP by phone. After several attempts to meet (the VP had outlook appt issues), this interview went well. I was then asked to come in the Moody's HQ in the financial district and interviewed by 4 VPs and one HR professional, one person at a time. Each one on one interview lasted 1/2 hr. The last interview was with the HR professional. She would not disclose when they might be making a decision on the position.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I was asked for several examples of how I accomplished an activity listed on my resume. The interviewer also went back pretty far in my work history.
I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Moody's (New York, NY) in Oct 2011
Interview
Got the interview through Campus Recruiting. First interview was on campus with 2 senior analysts at Moody's. Fairly straightforward interview. No technical questions. Second interview was during Super Day in their NYC office. Interviews were with 4-5 analysts/MDs. Some technical questions were asked (about the Income statement, CF statement, and Balance Sheet). Overall, was more of a discussion than back and forth question answer. Really enjoyed one of my interviews which we discussed what would be the big issues companies as well as citizens would be dealing with 5 years from now (Subscribing to Time Magazine pays off in dividends here). Moody's overall wants you to know your math and be able to calculate fast, but they also appreciate qualitative discussions, something unlike others working in the financial sector I hear.
