I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Moody's (New York, NY) in Dec 2012
Interview
There were three interviews. The first person provided an overview of the department and how it was organized. The second was with two people. The third was with HR who was mainly interested in salary history/requirements. All the people I met were very professional and it looks like a great place to work.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Moody's
Interview
Linear, respectful interview process. Several phone interviews with hiring manager and his manager, 1 with HR, then in-person interview with same and with peers and senior execs. Entire process took only 3 weeks, and they made me a preliminary offer on the spot during the final in-person interview. Culture seemed friendly, and I was even introduced to content support and administrative teams. Informal, but serious working einvironment appropriate to intellectual prodcuts/services. Respectful of my advanced degree and work experience.

Question 1
Most difficult question was about competitors' services, where my knowledge was at that time limited, having been out of the industry for several years. Interviewer wa empathetic and supportive of my committment to regaining this knowledge on the job.
