Smooth interview process.
Everything was via email and teams meeting.
Easy questions focusing on experience and knowledge. No testing or viva exam feels. 3 rounds including screening round and excluding final HR meeting.
The process took a month approx.
Only downside is that I had to follow up for a response even after the final round which was the managerial round.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Morningstar (Toronto, ON) in Mar 2024
Interview
I only did one 40-minute interview. The interviewer (Hiring Manager) began with "this is not an interview, but a conversation" (which is impossible since it was the first time I ever met someone from the company), then proceeded to grill me with actual interview questions... Plus, when I asked whether it would be possible to disclose a pay range at that stage, the interviewer said it wouldn't because even they didn't know the pay, which is weird because how can a Hiring Manager not know the pay of an Analyst? They also said that salaries are only discussed after a candidate gets a job offer, and that the candidate's current salary is used as a base... For a company whose work is about transparency, they really should focus on their own.
