Interview
Got called for an initial screening and everything went well, set up an interview for two days in the future. First interview went really well. Seemed like they liked me for the position, HR rep said they would call me either way on that Thursday. No call came by Friday afternoon so I sent an email following up. Said they were busy and would call on Monday.
Monday came and they said that someone internal took a position that I applied for and that they wanted me to interview with another department. So I set up an interview the next day.
The second interview was very unorganized. Someone arrived 5 minutes late to the call and asked me to start over. The hiring manager had several interruptions during the interview to include a family member arguing with them during the interview. The HR rep left the interview early and said he would follow-up with me later that afternoon. I was asked a total of three questions and then they ended the interview.
No call the next day and then a week and a half later I received an email with a generic rejection statement as if I didn't even get an interview.
Completely turned me off to this company.

Messy, would say interviewers selected are part of the problem. Multiple in person rounds on same day with little insight into what candidate is walking into to prepare. Different interviewers frequently stated they were not looking for the same thing thing that the person this position reports to is, making conversations very conflicting, and hard to strike a balance on how skillset could meet need. Interviewers also looked disengaged, and repeated the same (sometimes useless) exact questions several times throughout various rounds. Was also asked how I would handle a direct reports schedule, when I didn’t even know the shift schedules or position schedule yet. Did not feel prepared to answer these questions. Almost all interviewers for my rounds said they do not have work life balance and haven’t in a long time, not really selling the role or company either. I’d suggest thinking through order of interview rounds to help slowly expose candidate to groups, and if it isn’t a match don’t waste the candidate time any further. Also incorporate better interviewers, better questions that are different for each group, and sit in to be sure they are effective in their participation.

6 hour marathon of back to back (mainly) behavior based questions. It was a long day, but I don't mind knocking it all out in one day. Thankfully, a 2nd round of interviews was not needed and an offer was presented within a week.
