I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Parker Meggitt (Los Angeles, CA) in Dec 2021
Interview
I want to provide a detailed review to help anyone interviewing or looking to interview for this company. My experience may be different than yours depending on the site (location) or the people involved in your hiring process.
Background: Meggitt is a UK company going through acquisition process by Parker Hannifin (public info).
Application: I saw the job posting on Linkedin and applied through their website.
Phone Screen: I had a 30 minute phone screen with the senior recruiter. It was very much a casual conversation where they told me about the scope and responsibilities of this role. We agreed on an inital comp range before moving forward.
Round 1 Interview: Round 1 was with the current director leaving this position (red flag). The interview was similar to the phone screen.
Round 2 Interview: Round 2 was onsite interview and I flew out for it. The agenda was not provided before the day so I went in blind-sided. I met with groups of 2 and 3 people for 5 hours straight. The questions vary from person to person but lots of "warning" about how tough this job will be. Lots of talk about how the culture is different and the site is extremely complex.
No contact after round 2.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Parker Meggitt (Irvine, CA) in Apr 2016
Interview
Spoke with HR recruiter and the interview went very well. Was told that I had advanced to the next stage. The hiring manager was a no-show to the interview with no advanced notice. Later I was told that I did not have the required skill set for the position. Very shady and unprofessional process as I was over qualified for the position and received glowing reviews after the first set of interviews. I am glad I was given a trailer prior to accepting any offer.
