I met an HR recruiter who then asked me the standard interview questions: my background and education, previous work experience I've held, past internships and interest and publishing. I was then introduce to the Associate Publisher at the imprint I had applied to intern with, and was asked similar questions.
HR was stiff and felt a bit cold,but my second interview with my potential supervisor went really well. They were definitely more willing to get to know me.

Interview
I received a phone call, which turned into an impromptu interview. A few days later I received a call inviting me to schedule and in-person interview with a hiring manager, who ended up being an editor at one of the imprints.
