The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Revolut (Londen, Engeland) in Apr 2020
Interview
Handled Unprofessionally. Waste of Effort and Time.
I was approached the 1st time to apply for a Head of Compliance & MLRO role, after I passed the initial phone interview I was told I would be receiving a home task. The home task never arrived, I sent an email after not hearing anything and was told the position is "now closed".
Weeks passed, I was approached on LinkedIn (again) for the second time by their internal recruiter to apply for another role at Revolut. After I passed the initial phone interview, I was sent a home task which takes a week to complete (this time it arrived), it involved a root cause analysis and coding knowledge. One of the nights I stayed up till 3AM as I have a full time job and time is a constraint.
Submitted the results within deadline, there was a delay in marking the assignment, which they apologised for initially. Finally I get the results confirming that I passed the assessment and the feed back was positive all in all, a 3rd stage interview was arranged.
Interview time was at first moved and the interviewer changed, then on the day of the interview, I got an email telling me the position is "now closed". After all the effort spent allocating time for interviews, spending a week analysing large data and putting together a presentation of the results, I feel they could have easily avoided wasting my time by improving their internal hiring processes.
Since this is a regulatory position, I hope their approach to regulation and relationship with the regulator is more considerate and not as chaotic, otherwise it won´t end well. Luckily I already have a position, so this was no issue for me. However, if you are out of work, I would say effort and time invested pursuing a role at Revolut could be better spent focusing on a more professional and reliable organisation.

Thank you for your honest and thorough feedback. We appreciate your taking the time to let us know about your experience. We want to emphasise that experience is not standard at Revolut, and we train our recruiters to have empathy and respect for our candidates, their effort, and their time.
We have been going through some internal restructuring through the first six months of this year, including making decisions about the business need for some roles in the short term. This can sometimes mean closing a position whilst we are in the recruitment process with some candidates. We will pass on your feedback so that our recruiters can be offered better support on how to engage with candidates on difficult topics such as positions being closed in the short term.
