I was asked about my studies and about what I enjoyed most of the intership at sap. The interview was quite relaxed. It looks like they gather enough feedback from colleagues before the interview if you are already 'inside'.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at SAP (Newtown Square, PA) in Mar 2011
Interview
I had two Interviews with SAP, the first was over the phone and was fairly formal asking information about my education as I was about to graduate.
For the in person interview we were asked to do a presentation on our favorite class we took in college.
Following the presentation a panel of 5 interviewers asked a series of questions. While some of the panel were nice two were condescending, rude and actually a bit intimidating.
My biggest recommendation is to remain confident and don't let them fluster you. Knowing the two individuals now after being hired I understand that they were trying to see how I would react under pressure. At first this made me question the work culture thinking is this how I will be treated. In the software support industry customers tend to act like this when they encounter issues with a product they are spending 10's of Millions of dollars to implement.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at SAP (Dublin, Dublin) in Sep 2014
Interview
The whole interview process was two hours. We were split in to two groups, the first group would do a group assessment and the other would have 1 to 1 interviews.
The group assessment was group work to show how you work in a team. The assessment we had to do was a survival game, we had to do a ranking of items and we all had to agree on it on the end. We ended up passing it and being the first to use the whiteboard in a few months which was weird because it's a group project, why not use the whiteboard?
The 1 to 1 interview is that they'd go through your CV, ask every bit of it and find out how deep your knowledge is on each skills you have listed on your CV. You would also need to know about SAP products, it would be advised to look up interesting articles on how SAP is used in the present as they would ask what you do you know about SAP.
