The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Salesforce (Toronto, ON) in May 2025
Interview
The interview process for the Account Executive role at Salesforce in Toronto is structured, thorough, and focused heavily on sales fundamentals. It typically begins with a recruiter screen, followed by a hiring manager interview that dives deep into quota performance, deal strategy, and pipeline generation. Candidates then meet with a panel of AEs and solution engineers to assess collaboration and culture fit. A mock discovery call or role-play is usually required and is the most important stage, testing business acumen, questioning style, and ability to articulate value. Final interviews are with sales leadership and are more strategic and behavioral. Overall, the process is professional, well-organized, and designed to evaluate true full-cycle selling ability
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
what was the business problem, who were the stakeholders, what was your strategy, and how did you close it?
Recruiter missed multiple interviews only to tell me they have no positions only.
6 months later I receive an interview invite with pay $20k lower than originally discussed
Manager arrives late to the interview then cuts the time early. Company seems disorganized and difficult to take seriously as a so called leader in SaaS.

Question 1
Walk me through a deal example and how you won the opportunity.
pretty easy interview. Had to do a case. It felt like it was just a formality and they put me up to it to fit into their standard processes. Not the best experience but it is what it is
