I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Salesforce in Apr 2018
Interview
My interview process for the Lead Solutions Engineer position was really a amazing experience. Now it did take about two months from beginning to end so prepare to be patient. I had 4 phone interviews and was selected for the final round. The final round was the real deal. They provided me with a use case and a mentor (existing SF Solution Engineer) to help me put together a demo/presentation. I had to role play a discovery call and then present in person to a panel. That was really fun I will be honest but then again I love presenting. I am still amazed at the level of support I received during the process. The recruiter kept me in the loop from beginning to end. I was informed of my offer 24 hours after the final presentation.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Salesforce (Herndon, VA) in Apr 2018
Interview
Internal referral led to a phone screen with a member of the recruiting staff. The recruiter set up 4 phone interviews with various members of the team (a peer, hiring manager, internal customers, and a director). This led to a provided case study and date to deliver a presentation and demo (industry standard for the position) followed by a panel interview. Verbal offer and next steps followed quickly after (1-3 days). This process was an excellent experience with a focus on transparency and fit.

Straight forward, transparent, attentive and engaged. Validated expectations from the start, efficient. Communication was effective through email and IM. I felt inclined to consider the offer due to the impression made by the hiring manager and the swiftness of the recruiter.
