I applied online. I interviewed at Starbucks (Los Angeles, CA)
Interview
The interview process was straightforward. I attended a hiring event for Starbucks and interviewed with two managers. Starbucks values collaboration, team work, and problem solving. Almost all of the questions revolved around those topics. Be ready to share a lot of stories and experiences. Also, be sure to practice answering questions using the STAR method! You're not expected to have any coffee knowledge or experience so don't worry about that. Be friendly and show that you are willing and excited to learn. It took about a week to hear back after the interview.
Interview questions [3]
Question 1
Tell me about a time you worked together with a team to achieve a goal. What was your role in that situation.
Basically a short chat about my availability, my interest in the job, why I want to work there, how familiar I am with coffee and what my past experiences in hospitality were.
Easiest interview I've ever had. I was only asked 3 questions, 'tell me about yourself, what are your strengths & weaknesses, what is your availability?' Lasted about 10 minutes maximum
Thank you for taking the time to write your feedback. We appreciate your input and are happy to hear that you’ve enjoyed the interview process here at Starbucks.
it was great. I answered every question thoughtfully and easily. You have to have two interviews, one with the manager and one with the district manager. It is a in person interview. They ask many questions and will either hire you on the spot or you will have to call to see if you get the position.
