Very friendly partners conduct phone and 1:1 interviews. They spend the time to get to know you and find out where you are in your career. Most questions are situation based. The are also operations based questions. They want to determine your work ethic and mind set towards retail business.

The interviewing process is very rigorous, and very specific. Behavioral interviewing is how Starbucks makes the decision to hire or pass on a candidate. Past experience in similar fields is not as important, leadership capability and articulation on experience are key in the interview process. Be concise, be confident, and come prepared.

Interview
Had a phone interview than was called to come in for a group interview and a skill check on operating on the floor. I was then called in for a one on one interview and questioned about P & L training and Inventory control. Also was asked about customer service skills and customer retention.
