I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target (Brea, CA) in Nov 2018
Interview
This was for a seasonal position and they were having a hiring event. I went in, they gave me an application. I filled it out and went back a couple hrs later. Then, i made an appointment for an interview, which was also that same day.
The questions were more complex than I was expecting. I paused to think about them, which showed I wasn’t prepared I guess.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe a situation where you had to make a significant compromise. (something along those lines)
This story can answer several questions:
Tell me about a time you worked cross-functionally.
Tell me about a communication challenge.
Tell me about a difficult stakeholder.
Tell me about solving a problem.
Tell me about managing expectations.
The interview was super easy. You just have to know a bit about what you're trying to do there and be lucky with their hiring timing. It also helps if you are nice to them overall.
I applied online. I interviewed at Target (Dallas, TX) in May 2026
Interview
The interview process was over the phone. Basically going over the details you inputted on the job application. We went over the hours I could work and if whether or not I had other things going on because it was a part time job.
