Question 1
How have you resolved a conflict in your work environment?
I spoke to the manager in her office, it was mostly a relaxed conversation where she mainly asked me behavioral questions. Keep in mind times where you struggled in the past.

Question 1
What was a time where you struggled on a group project?
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Target (Lancaster, OH) in Apr 2020
Interview
Had an initial interview with one manager and was asked to come back to interview with the hiring manager. So they had a two person interview process. When interviewing with the hiring manager I was actually offered a higher paying position in the clothing department being the lead in control of setting up the displays. This was because I had previously worked at Abercrombie and Fitch doing the same thing 4 years before. The interview went great, both managers were super nice and I was excited to work there. Now to the negative part, Target claims to hire felons and has banned the box in their application process. I did bring up my criminal history even though I didn’t have to and explained to them that it was when i was 19 and I was essentially in the wrong place and the wrong time. BOTH managers stated they still wanted to hire me. I signed to do the background check after being offered a preliminary position and said i would be contacted when to come to orientation, only to hear back from them a week later saying my offer was rescinded. This was extremely discouraging to me, especially since I was told by both managers I would still be getting the position. I was excited to get to do something that I enjoy, get out of the serving and bartending industry so I could have more stable hours in order to better care for my young children. I understand not being able to hire certain people due to their charges, like sex offenders or extremely violent offenses, but mine were neither of those. Then the let down of being honest with them and told it wouldn’t be an issue, to then lose the job was not right in my opinion. I was afraid to apply to other jobs outside of ones that don’t do background checks for years after this. I think Target should reconsider their hiring process when it comes to criminal history. If they’re going to claim to be felon friendly then they actually should be.

Question 1
They asked a lot of questions about my personality, more so than other interviews I’ve had.
