I applied online. I interviewed at Tesla (Palo Alto, CA) in Apr 2026
Interview
The interview process consisted of three rounds:
Technician Interview
Hiring Manager Interview
Senior Manager Interview
In the first two rounds, the interviewers began by introducing themselves, explaining their roles, and outlining their expectations for the position.
For both interviews, I presented a prepared presentation that highlighted my projects and experience. Each session lasted about 60 minutes, during which the discussion was largely centered around my presentation. The interviewers asked questions throughout, focusing on the projects I had included and my approach to problem-solving.
Following the presentation, the Hiring Manager asked additional role-specific questions for approximately 15 minutes. These questions were relatively straightforward and were designed to assess my thought process rather than arrive at strictly right or wrong answers.
The Senior Manager interview was more of a cultural fit or “vibe check.” While the conversation was not overly intense, it did include some challenging, thought-provoking questions. These required me to think creatively and respond in a structured, systematic manner.
