I applied online. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Queens, NY) in Mar 2025
Interview
Very straight forward; they did a background check, and I was moved straight to orientation. From there I was briefed on typical operations, the company's values, and the job's responsibilities.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Atlanta, GA) in Mar 2026
Interview
Got a call from the recruiter, passed that and then I had three back to back interviews for the role.
1. Excel Assignment
2. Behavioral interview
3. Case study
Overall you need to prep for this job, it is achievable but they ask quite a few questions and they will ask you follow up questions so be ready for that.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
when did you make a data driven decision, tell me about a time you had a conflict with co-worker, tell me a time when you collaborated with someone for a project, tell me a time when you had a complex/ambiguous problem to solve. The excel assignment isn't too difficult, you should know x/vlookups, pivot tables, sumifs, etc.
The interviewers were not very engaging, and the conversation lacked warmth and balance. The first 10–15 minutes were primarily spent highlighting how heavy the workload is and how many tasks the successful candidate would be expected to handle. While transparency about expectations is important, the way it was presented felt overly focused on the demands of the role rather than the support, team environment, or growth opportunities. As a result, the interview felt more intimidating than inviting, and the overall experience left a less positive impression.
