I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Thoughtworks (Madras) in Feb 2020
Interview
It started with an HR call, who enquired my interest and expectation CTC and then followed by a one-hour phone discussion with a senior UX person. It wasn't really an enquiry kind of discussion, but more of a get to know each other kind of talks, I really enjoyed and remember being very comfortable sharing about my experience and journey, and at the end, I got the feedback voluntarily both positive and negative, which most of the interviewers wouldn't do. Later the HR called and proceeded with an assignment and gave me five days time to complete it. And a day later I was called to the office and they asked me to explain the assignment. They were so polite, gave me a lot of time to explain about my way of thinking, I enjoyed talking with the lead designers and again I felt I was in a comfort zone of speaking out my mind. After this there were two interviews on the same day, face to face with the management team, they asked me about how I handled a project, my collaboration with the team etc. The next one was the social-economic justice interview, they asked me couple of questions about my opinion on diversity and women at workplace. My total experience with the ThoughtWorks was great learning, you get to take away a lot of things you didn't know about TW, and I think the way they strategized the interview is completely brilliant, it brings the candidate's attitude, excellency and his/her empathy towards the society.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
What is your opinion about having diversity in the team?
The HR and team doesn't seem to align with what they wants. While HR mentioned that it's the altitude and learning spirit that's more important than experience, the team felt likewise.
Was asked to do exercise before the interview. During the interview, they will ask you to assess your strength. The interviewers asked to go through my exercise, and my portfolio. After everything end, they will email you the result, along with strengths and areas of improvement.
For mine, experience was what they commented.
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Thoughtworks (Poona) in Apr 2015
Interview
The interview process had several steps. I was given an assignment initially, which was followed by technical, leadership and social justice rounds. Social justice round the most interesting one. Rest of the process for a designer was quite standard. Questions were based on portfolio, assignment and expectations out of the role.

Question 1
Questions were quite normal. Most of the technical questions were about my portfolio of work.
