I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TransPerfect in May 2011
Interview
Referral from a friend who is working as a Quality Control Manager in the company. They have position for Project Coordinator in Hong Kong so I sent my CV to my friend and got a phone call from the Recruitment Specialist. Had a long conversation with him and he decided I should take a skill test, proof reading test and correct the mistakes in some paragraphs. I did well on that so i was given a face to face interview with the Production Director originally. On the day of interview, the Project Manager joined the interview. I passed this and then got a phone interview with the Production Manager in London which is responsible for the team I would be working for. They gave me an offered after a few days.
A phone screening with HR and a test after. A test consisted of copy editing and formatting which is not exactly the main project coordinator activities so it seemed odd that they are treated as a prerequisite for getting a job.
First call with HR, then with Dept Manager, then in-person interview with hiring managers. The whole process was quick, hiring managers were lovely and the questions were aligned with the role. Interview with Detp Manager was easy.
5 interviews (1 in person) for an entry level position and 2700-3300 salary/month. Told me only at 2nd interview that I'm expected to work overtime and weekends all the time.
