I applied online. I interviewed at UPS (Ontario, CA) in Aug 2010
Interview
Apply Online got a call for an interview....i think they mostly judge of your appearance...i would recommend going with boots looking ready to work...its heavy worker and the just want to make sure you can physically handle the work, also the will ask you if your planning on staying long term with the company probably the most important question of the interview and course reply with yes
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at UPS (Hodgkins, IL) in Sep 2012
Interview
How it went for my facility?
There was no interview. I had applied while peak season was underway.
Lots of people who applied during peak season were accepted, and quite a few still remain.
Upon being shown the facility, the HR department decide if you are to be called back for training. Training consists of book work, videos, discussion, and 1 day of work before you actually begin work. In my honest opinion, I believe that this method of training is sufficient. At least for now.

Question 1
There are no questions for me to share, as I was not given an interview.
I was called in for a tour, called back as I have been given a hire date, and then hired.
I do know that one facility in my state required interviews.
Was able to schedule an information session after applying initially online through the UPS Careers website. The first info. session was a brief walk through of the facilities as well as a rundown of the expectations of the position. As this is obviously a physical position, they try to give a good indication of the grind associated with the job, and use the first session as a "weeding out" of people that may not want to spend 5-6 hours a day moving and being physical with boxes, etc. The interview was not much of an interview at all, just asking if you understand the hardships associated with it, and say they will call you back if they can find an opening for you.

Question 1
No difficult questions at all for the initial information session the first time. They ask you about your residence and how much of a commitment you can make per week in terms of hours to this position. The hours are odd sometimes, sometimes starting at 3Am. I chose the afternoon shift.
