The process took 5 days. I interviewed at US Army in Feb 2010
Interview
This interview was to be selected for a company commander slot within an Aviation Brigade. The prescreening involved the ability to achieve Pilot-in-Command status. This process took several months but if you can build a solid reputation as a quality staff officer and comptent pilot with ability to make time to fly and boss who will support this then you will be ready to set up the interview. The interview with the Brigade Commander focus on leadship questions and general familiarity with ARs and SOPs.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at US Army (Colorado Springs, CO) in Aug 2008
Interview
Basically a resume and behavioral experience based interview that lasted 1-2 days. Went over my resume and experiences in explicit detail to judge fit in the organization. Spoke with 3 different senior officers during the process and met with many other officers and employees. The interview did not seem to be planned out specifically, but definitely had a flow to it. My advice is to relax and enjoy the process. Not much to prepare. Just be yourself and know your story. A good reason why you want the job is good too. Confidence is the most important thing!
