I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Uber (New York, NY) in Feb 2025
Interview
Insanely long. 9 interviews in all. (5 onsite + one case study)
Around 8 case studies in all- which is kind of insane given none of the actual work has anything to do with case studies.
Hiring manager at the last interview interviewed me for a completely different role and seemed confused that it was not communicated to me that I was interviewing for the other role. (None of the other 8 interviews were for this role)
The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Uber (Bengaluru) in Aug 2025
Interview
I had an excellent business phone screening round that went smoothly without any issues, but unfortunately, the outcome wasn’t positive, and I didn’t receive any feedback to understand or learn from the decision made.

Interview
Multiple product leads on Uber Eats consumer team literally ghosted the interview and at least two xfn people were 10 min late. It's a complete clown shown. Process is obviously tedious and bureaucratic (and hr is an empty vessel), but what's really meaningful is that, while in team matching, I've literally never met a product lead (or group+ leader) that was inspiring in either prior experience, creativity of ideas, or rigor of thought. I think they are all just risk-averse corporate drones, looking to optimize some clown metric they were delegated. It was surprising to be turned off a company like this.

Question 1
Needed to explain to them the difference between revenue and GBV (Uber product leads don't seem to know the difference).
