I asked about the receivership branch of FDIC because I did not completely understand what it did. I also read an artificial about FDIC's involvement in a bank closing which was done by the receivership department. This impressed the interviewer. She was in complete shock about my question. I felt that I did horrible on the interview overall. But it was this question at the end that saved me. It showed that I was genuinely interested in FDIC's responsibilities.
