In the 2nd round they asked: 1. An egg has to be boiled which takes exactly 11 minutes to boil. There are only 2 sand watches available to you one of 9 minutes and the other of 5 minutes. Using only these sand watches boil the egg.

We have a cup of hot coffee and a small cold milk out of the fridge. The room temperature is in between these two. When should we add milk to coffee to get the coolest combination earliest ( at the beginning, in the middle, or at the end)?

You have two ropes of different lengths and made of different materials. If you burn either rope from end to end it will burn out in 60 mins. You can't touch the ropes. All you can do is light them on fire to burn out. How would you calculate 45 mins accurately by burning said ropes
