For a lab scientist position I was asked several conceptual questions, some of which directly involved doing quick mental math. I was not expecting this, but it impressed me. Usually these interviews are cushy/feelings-based.
The interview questions are the standard: Tell me about yourself, Tell me about a time you did X and what was the result. They want you to use the STAR process.
