What would you do if an ML model performed better on testing data than training data?
Given a public financial big data set going back few years in history, compute in the most efficient way using Spark API following financial instruments: biggest winner for each day, highest volume for each day and most traded for each day.
This was a Scala position but they were open to allowing me to use Python or Java for the interview. Standard data eng questions - SQL, Spark, ETL, and some not so standard like API and microservices. I have not been actively interviewing, some of these questions were hard as I was very rusty.
