Deep understanding of TCP. Would recommend "TCP/IP Illustrated Volume 1" or "The Illustrated Network" for brushing up on this info. Get very comfortable with TCP. How does it work fundamentally? How does it handle congestion? How does it handle latency? That type of thing.
Deep understanding of Network Architecture. Both high level and low level. CCNP Enterprise Design book is useless. I would recommend something with a deep dive into Clos networking. "The Juniper QFX5100 Series" and "Juniper QFX10000 Series" cover Clos in great detail. "Arista Warrior" is also a great resource.
Behavioral questions - Give an example when you had to convince someone, etc.
Describe an issue that you have come across re insufficient bandwidth and the solution that resolved the issue.
How would you handle a down situation?
There weren't any difficult questions per say. If you know BGP, you'd be fine.
