The bar raiser would challenge you, or even beat around the bush on a leadership principle he/she had in mind, just to test whether you are quick and smart enough to spot it and lead him back to examples of why you did so great in the past with regards to the leadership principle he was looking for. Always prepare at least 2 examples for each leadership principle because the bar raiser would challenge you on your first example, saying that is NOT good enough. There was not a difficult or unexpected question. The peak of the phone screening was, "Have you ever cross-compiled a test application before?" This was after describing how I previously worked on Armv8, MIPS-SEL, Atmel, and x86 embedded products as a Software Developer, Software Developer in Test and Developer Evangelist for the better part of a decade.
