If you need to build something from scratch, whats your general approach?
Most interview questions are regarding performance and game optimisations. SOLID principles and design patterns. Interview covers almost all aspects of game development.
It was a long time ago so I don't remember exact questions but I got asked about Asset Bundles, if I had worked with them and how to use them. Same thing for NavMesh and integrating third party SDKs into Unity. I also got questioned about any improvements I would have made to the Unity project I had on my BitBucket.
After the initial screening, I was given a Steam key and asked to play their game, Eco, for at least an hour, and answer the following: * What do you think of the game? * Provide high-level feedback on the game: what you think of the features and systems, how they work together, etc. * Share what vision you understand the game shares.
