Q. My past HCI research projects and why I chose the methods I did.
First interview was just talking about my previous experiences and why I would be a good fit for the internship. Second, was talking about a problem I have with a current website/app and how I would test it. Third, was describing my research to a team- why its important to the field, and what would I do with unlimited funds to conduct the same research in a 6th month period.
They asked me to pick an app I use and then gave me a research question about it and asked me to design a study.
They asked about my experience working in different technical fields, and how my comfort level was with different research methods/processes.
What is your timeline like, and are you flexible about the possibility of relocating?
Choose one app from the list and then imagine you want to research X problem. How would you plan research to solve those questions and why do you choose particular methods? Explain why.
What's you favorite App. There is decreased user engagement on the app. How would you research why?
Don’t quite remember the specific questions. For behavioral part the questions were mostly about how I work with different stakeholders, how I collaborate with others, and my work style.
Q: What methods are you familiar with? Q: What is a favorite app you have? Describe how you would improve the UX. What would you test? Q: Hypothetical: if you had to improve a home improvement store's traffic/revenue, how would you set up research to help identify opportunities?
