I was sexually harassed by a team member, and when I reported it to the team lead, I expected action or at the very least, support. Instead, I was let go. Let that sink in—the victim of harassment gets punished, while the perpetrator faces no consequences. This isn’t just negligence; it’s an outright cover-up. Adyen’s leadership in this department is more concerned with protecting their image than protecting their employees from harm. But it gets worse. The team lead didn’t stop at incompetence; he also showed truly disgusting favouritism. When a female working student threatened to leave, instead of letting her go, he grossly overpaid her, handing her a NextGen salary she clearly didn’t qualify for. Why? Not because of her skills or contributions, but because he was desperate to keep her around at all costs. This is the kind of disturbing and unprofessional behaviour that thrives in the Customer Risk Review Team. There is zero accountability here. The incompetence runs so deep within the company that even HR is complicit in turning a blind eye. Reporting serious issues like harassment doesn’t result in investigations; it results in retaliation and dismissal. Adyen would rather silence victims than deal with predators within their own ranks. Management at Adyen needs a complete overhaul, starting with the immediate removal of the unethical, cowardly leaders who enable and encourage this kind of reprehensible behaviour. These individuals aren’t just incompetent—they’re actively complicit in creating and maintaining a toxic environment that protects predators and punishes victims. Adyen must stop sweeping these problems under the rug and start addressing the deep-rooted issues of harassment and gross misconduct that are prevalent within the company. My advice? If you’re considering a job at Adyen, stay far away from the Customer Risk Review Team. This team is a cesspool of toxicity, and if you have the courage to speak up, you’ll be mistreated, unsupported, and ultimately discarded.
