Environment is one of constant escalation and fire drills as we lack people and proper process to do our jobs. We have been on a hiring and pay increase/bonus “freeze” for 6+months now. Business is very aggressive to sell but technical teams are not properly staffed and assembled to handle the work in an efficient, client-centric manner.
For me, pay is market value, but standard raises and bonuses as promised when I was hired, have not been delivered. 401k match and tuition reimbursement were removed mid-2019 and health insurance premiums are very high - higher than industry standards.
Process improvements and change are usually not welcome as there are a lot of old thought processes embedded and leadership that seems not to care. Attrition rate is extremely high - I won’t reveal the rate- but it all points back to my above comments.
