Pros
- Many wonderful people work there - Friendly culture - Tremendous potential for improvement and growth - Deep roots in Alabama - Generally stable when severe weather & investment income are favorable
Cons
- Drastic negative change in past 10 years - History of discarding long-time, high-performing, highly-engaged employees in recent years - Despite having some wonderful people, as a whole, HR is one of the company's worst departments and is run by a tyrant - Stubbornly clinging too exclusively to agent-based sales model - Questionable (at best) recent management moves at senior levels - In short, Alfa is not what it used to be in terms of family culture that rewarded loyalty and high performance
