Pros

Decent benefits and average-ish compensation People are generally nice and well-meaning

Cons

The bureaucracy in this place is off the charts. Everything moves at a glacial pace, and you can't get to anything—unless you're part of the golden circle or a buddy of Adriaan. Then, you've got the keys to the kingdom. You're gonna feel like you're spinning your wheels, getting nowhere fast. Your laptop? It's jam-packed with spyware that slows everything to a crawl and watches your every move. Top management? They couldn't find their way out of a paper bag. They're just playing catch-up with Stripe and failing miserably. Equity? Forget it unless you're gonna stick around for a year or more and bust your hump to be the star player. They'll push you to show up at the office at least once or twice a week, but good luck tuning out all of the noise or finding a meeting room. Try not to throw up when they keep calling you "a Mollie" and not to roll your eyes too far from all the cringe-worthy moments. If you're the type who actually gives a rat's behind about your job and isn't just punching the clock, this job will drive you up the wall. Unless, of course, you've got a thick skin and can stomach a whole lot of corporate baloney.

Pros

Working as a People Operations working student at Mollie can be a really positive experience if you enjoy being close to people, processes, and the day to day rhythm of a growing company. What stands out most is the chance to learn a lot in a short time. You get exposure to real People Operations work, which helps you understand how HR processes, employee experience, and internal support all come together. It is a role where you can build practical skills that are useful far beyond the job itself. Another big plus is the environment. Mollie tends to feel fast paced, modern, and collaborative, so you are not just doing repetitive tasks. You are often trusted with meaningful work and get to see how your contribution supports the wider team. That can make the role feel rewarding and motivating.
