      Meraki is about one of the best companies you can work for in today’s economy with the way companies today do business.

      They’re still a corporate overlord that does the same things as any other big tech company

      Pros

      Engineers feel empowered to make decisions and get things done. Many of the engineering teams have a strong and supportive culture.

      Cons

      There is a lot of technical debt; but if you enjoy refactoring it can be very rewarding. There are a lot of politics involved when trying to get work done between engineering teams.

      Pros

      At best, you'll work with intelligent, motivated people and be able to grow as a professional. Everyone is happy to teach and learn.

      Cons

      Management has become more reliant on performance metrics, to the point where meetings get in the way of doing work. This is a side effect of rapid growth - not all managers are experienced, and may not have much training. You will need to sell yourself if you want to get ahead - this is hard if you're remote (or an introvert).
