Some great colleagues, good to see a new female CEO for Elsevier.

Cons

Hiring and promotion is done via a ‘friends’ Type system. Reinforced glass ceiling. HR is useless.

good culture, smart colleagues (depending on which team you are in), relatively good leadership team

Cons

career development is totally unstructured, some juniors can directly move to director roles, while some seniors get stuck in their position. salary is towards the lower side

Good salary, benefits, innovation.nice colleagues.

Cons

When you are made redundant you have to go though there are other internal jobs that suit you. A lot of high skilled young people are being hired who leave within short period of time. Peolple who have worked there for a long time are being dumped.
