I applied online. I interviewed at ALDI (Buncrana) in Sep 2022
Interview
I took the 15 minutes interview and they allowed me to take the interview via Zoom because I live in Portugal and was planning to move to Ireland. They didn't asked any difficult questions it was a talk about why I wanted to work for Aldi and why I wanted to move to Ireland. A bit about my working experience and I was given the chance to ask questions about the work in Aldi. Although I think it was interesting, from the beginning I got the feeling that hey didn't want to hire me, they were more focused on the cons of working for Aldi than the pros, and I was right, they didn't hire me. They kept on saying it was a really hard job, physically demanding and people tend to get a job with Aldi and then go find a different job, etc.. I answered that I know that it is a hard job but I am not a quitter. I have a full degree and worked in offices and fashion retail, maybe they considered me not suitable for the job and gave me a feedback 1 day after the interview.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ALDI in Mar 2023
Interview
Face to face interview. The lady interviewing me was very warm and welcoming and made me feel very comfortable. The whole process is long I’d say but after the face to face they inform whether you were successful or not within 48 hours.
Friendly chat with management, discussing the progression and fundamentals of the role. This is sometimes done at a separate location. You will be quizzed on your skills and your knowledge of the company and their expectations
