I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ALDI (Gravesend, Engeland) in Apr 2018
Interview
I came in early and waited by the tills until the interviewer was ready to sit with me. He began by telling me the store I had applied for had no vacancies at the moment but if I was successful I would still hear from them in 7 days, but I would have to wait for a vacancy to open up. He then asked me if I would still like to continue the interview knowing that. I said yes since I was already there even though it was quite frustrating they couldn't have said that over the phone or email. Overall the interview was okay EXCEPT for the situational test/question he asked me, initially I thought I had answered correctly but then he kept asking me about the crying baby which for the life of me I could not see the relevance :\ It went downhill from there....
Situational test:
You have been asked to unload a full pallet on the shop floor, but then the tills ring for assistance. You notice that there is a lady with an overloaded trolley & crying baby in her hand approaching the till that you will be covering. What do you do?
