I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Sydney) in Feb 2019
Interview
I applied online several months ago, got a call from a recruiter saying they want to interview me. I said okay, it keeps me on my toes. Once we scheduled a phone interview, the person asked a lot of questions around OS (linux), networking [DHCP, HTTP, OSI model etc]. I did well in the phone interview. Was invited for an onsite where there were 4 back-to-back interviews each with different person/persons. My selection was big data. First 1:1 was with hiring manager who asked a lot of behavioural type questions and it was cool. Second round was focused on OS and the guy didn't seem interested to conduct the interview. He kept asking questions and seemed pretty arrogant. Throughout, he acted like I don't know anything. Third round there were two people from big data team, asked standard questions and kept going deeper. Some of the questions were pretty vague so I asked more questions for clarity. I skipped few questions in this section, because I was told not to give answers if I am not sure. Last round was with another person from different team with more behavioural types questions.
Overall, tip is to understand Amazon's 14 leadership principles. They will ask a lot of case based on those principles. Though, I am good at programming, no programming related questions were asked. Make sure to go through linux sys-admin, database, network related interview questions. Sometimes they will create hypothetical situations which may/may not be possible in real-life scenarios.
Review: the interview was good. The recruiters were friendly and helped me throughout. Interviewers lacked enthusiasm. But don't think I should really complain. HR contacted for offer after 2 days, however, I declined. I wasn't interested in support roles at the time and was on my way to become manager in my current company. Also, there isn't much coding involved in this role, unless someone takes up a project out of interests.

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Amazon (Gurgaon, Uttar Pradesh) in Feb 2019
Interview
It was a 4 round process after clearing the online assessment test which include very easy level 2 coding question one is on mainly some formulas based and other any random basic question. Among those 4 rounds, 2 were purely deep technical rounds and then there was a tech+hr round and after that, the last one was total hr round. The technical rounds require deep knowledge of networking, OS, and troubleshooting ( generally they mention the individual topics for the preparation of the interview in the mail around 1 week before the interview). I highly recommend to go through some good and standard books for the preparation instead of preparing through youtube videos or some random websites because they will really ask you each and every possible practical question based on that topics. I did this mistake of not preparing through the standard books which I really regret a lot that is why I am just suggesting it. Books will definitely help you and will give you a better understanding of that topic.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (São Paulo, ) in Dec 2018
Interview
Applied through Amazon Website for a position in Dublin, was contact by the recruiter a few weeks later asking for schedule for the first phone interview.
The first phone interview was all technical and Amazon Chime (Great audio quality!) was used, a Windows Cloud Support Engineer interviewed me and all the questions were strictly related to Windows services, roles and troubleshooting skills. Some questions were like: "What would you do if the XXXX error message happened?", "What are the types of DNS records?", and so on. This interview had the length of 45 minutes and the questions were non stop!
After a few days I was invited for a second round of interviews, but this time it was on site. On the interview day a lot of interviews were going on. There were 5 rounds of interview with the length is usually 1 hour each with a break after second or third interview. A lot of questions about experience, all of it should be answered using the STAR method, outcomes should be clearly shown. On the technical side, had a lot of questions about networking, Windows and architecture.
The recruiter called 5 working days later with the feedback from the interview. If you get a call don't get excited, they call even if you didn't get an offer.
