Interview
Usually you have to pass two phone interviews and an onsite interview with 5 people. Linux, networking, Windows, databases... You are asked general questions about these technologies, and also how did you react when facing previous situations in your career.
You are asked for examples of situations where you had to tackle a difficult problem, or where you exhibited initiative, or you had to handle a difficult situation with a customer, etc.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Design a scalable and highly available website. They would ask you to add more complexity layers as your design goes on.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Amazon in Oct 2015
Interview
The technical interview is pretty intense! They really put you on the spot and get down and dirty. They want to ensure that you know your stuff, but it is difficult because if you're a hands on person, it can be very difficult to explain how to do something vs. showing them.
