I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Amazon (Nashville, TN) in Mar 2025
Interview
GES Startup Project Manager. 4 months post app, I was invited to complete an online assessment which consisted of a combination of questions and recorded responsed. Passed the assessment and then was invited to 1:1 with the hiring manager. Passed the interview and was invited to complete a written assessment of a previous innovative project. Passed the written assessment and was invited to the loop interview consisting of 5 different back-to-back 1 hour rounds (6 people). I literally do not believe I could have handled it better - I had 20-25 stories from my work past and was able to make them translate to all of Amazon's Leadership Principles. Felt genuinely good about the interview, but was called 3 days later stating they were not moving forward. Felt like a gut punch after so much preparation.
Behavioral heavy with lots of follow ups. Almost no opportunity to ask questions in return. Felt very transactional and not even bothered to get to know the candidate. Interviewer had a hard stop and also showed up late.
Good enough. They are clear on what they are looking for according to the company values. Just as described in online blogs or Youtube videos. Very based on their principles.
