I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Avon (New York, NY) in Jun 2010
Interview
I had a total of 7 interviews, from HR to my hiring manager, the executive from the department, as well as people from other areas of the company.
They asked me motivational questions: why do you want to work for Avon, why this position, etc.
And also case questions: imagine you have to double sales in 10 years, what would you do?

Question 1
Imagine you had to double the sales of the company in 5 years, what would you do?
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Avon (New York, NY) in Oct 2011
Interview
They were hiring for multiple Associate Brand Manager positions so I met with representatives from three departments (color, skin care and fragrance) . The interviews were all fairly similar. Each started with a "give me a bit of your background" question. After explaining my education, professional experience and work style they asked further questions regarding my background. There was a heavy emphasis on corporate structure and each interviewer made it a point to explain where this position would fall and who is above, below and on the same level. Each asked why I was interested in beauty and why specifically Avon.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Avon in Jan 2009
Interview
The hiring process was very long. After a phone interview, I met with the Divisional Manager. Then I had another phone interview and a few phone tests. I also had to do ride alongs with different managers. The whole process took over 2 months.
