I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomberg (Princeton, NJ)
Interview
I went through 3 rounds of interviews, two technical with software engineers, one with HR, then the last with the head of R&D himself. I answered all the technical questions efficiently, so I don't think my lack of an offer was due to that. As other interviews post on here, be wary of the "why Bloomberg" question; I'm guessing my answer to that was the reason I was rejected. It's a little hard to not be a bit miffed about it since all signs were going very well, just to get a rejection without a real clue as to why.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomberg (New York, NY) in Apr 2013
Interview
I applied online to one of the software developer positions. I got an email back to schedule a phone interview in about a week. I scheduled the interview and talked to two Bloomberg employees who I believe were software developers. They asked me some basic SQL questions. I got an email about a week later asking me to come onsite there for another interview. I had already accepted another job so I did not go.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomberg (Baltimore, MD) in Feb 2016
Interview
The interview was 2 on 1. It started very well, with a good conversation going on. The interviewers made sure to ask me if I had any questions about Bloomberg LP and what the job was like. Then they proceeded to ask whiteboard questions, which were somewhat challenging.
