I applied online. I interviewed at Bloomberg (Londen, Engeland) in Nov 2015
Interview
phone screening and in-house interview. The phone screening was easy, a few basic questions on programming and CS in general. I was then invited to an interview in their London office. Also this interview was not hard (basic questions about Java, reverse a stack, etc). I also had the opportunity to meet some Software Engineers that work there
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Bloomberg (New York, NY) in Mar 2012
Interview
It was an in person interview with two guys. Some of the questions were a bit trivial and platform/compiler specific (how will i = i++; be evaluated in C++).
I didn't get very good answers for what the culture was like and what kind of processes team followed at Bloomberg.
Overall, it wasn't the best interview experience I've had.
I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomberg (New York, NY) in Oct 2015
Interview
One phone interview and then onsite. Phone interview was easy, it took 45 minutes to finish 3 question. Onsite was not that good. The hotel is really bad because there is bar under the room which it was really annoying and really hard to sleep. Also the lunch was really bad.
