I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Carrier (Leatherhead, Engeland) in May 2021
Interview
The interview was quite unprofessional. First of all, I couldn't present on the projector as that room was taken which was quite disorganised and put me under pressure to sit right next to directors as opposed to stand and present. On top of that, the internet was down, and took almost 10 minutes to transfer my presentation file from one computer to another.
The presentation was heavily economics-based and the director wanted more advanced research which was not as easy to find online. This job was advertised for an Internship but Carrier had a different view which was more of the chosen employee to do a lot more than an intern based on the interview. I feel that the Operations Intern advert asked too much for an intern and would have required a lot of workload for small pay. The advert/interview was misleading and they should have changed it to an Operations Manager rather than an Intern role.
It was only a week later or two that I saw the same job avert advertised again. Clearly, they couldn't find anyone. Maybe that was because it was too much for an 'intern'. Really need to consider changing the job title name for what it's best suited for.

Question 1
Tell us about a time when you overcame adversity in the workplace?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Carrier (Atlanta, GA) in Oct 2020
Interview
What an awful set of people. One of their recruiters reached out to me on LinkedIn and then had a phone call with me, from there an interview date was set (to be an online video call).
I was interviewed by two people and neither of them turned on their cameras during the interview, it was horrible. I was interviewed by one of the Senior Technical Writers and an Engineer. The engineer was extremely rude and would always ask me the same question twice like I was lying. He also left the interview while I was asking a question and the other guy tried to justify it saying that maybe his computer was set to automatically removed him once the time was up.
He asked me to send in some more documents, to email them to the recruiter. He was extremely curt in his questions and responses. I emailed the recruiter the documents they asked for and never got a response. I guess they already had someone else in mind and the interview was just a formality but that doesn't excuse their lack of common decency. The only person who was nice was the technical writer who was new to the company, I guess the longer you work at Carrier the more horrid you become.
A few minutes into the interview I knew I didn't get it and I'm glad I didn't. To have such horrible people be the face of the company means that those who didn't mean the cut are somehow even worse.

I spoke with them at a conference. They offered me an interview. I was offered the job at the spot. About a couple days later, they sent me an intent to offer letter
