I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Databricks in Feb 2022
Interview
I was reached out to by a recruiter at Databricks, went through the phone screen and then met with the hiring manager. Everything went relatively smooth to that point. The hiring manager then told me the recruiter would reach out with next steps (whether they would move me forward or not). I sent a follow-up email to the recruiter just to let him know how everything went. I followed up mid-week the following week to get an update and still have not received any sort of response. At this point I assume they're not interested in moving me forward but not responding to my emails and effectively ghosting me is incredibly rude and disrespectful.

Question 1
Can you give me an example of a project you led and the impact it had on a customer.
Interviewed for CSE role, in North America team. They stopped communication in the middle of the process. It will be better if you can give a closure to the candidates. Says a lot about your culture and the team.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Databricks (Sydney) in Aug 2021
Interview
I had virtual onsite rounds. Firstly started with 2 behavioral rounds with Team Lead CSE and a Senior CSE. Then a take home code challenge assignment. Should be simple for Data Engineers with knowledge of Spark/Python/SQL. Shouldn't take more than 5-8 hours. Then more 4 rounds of behavior with Sales Head ANZ, Solution Architect, CSE Head APJ and then SVP Global CSE.
Last 2 rounds lasted for 20 mins each wherein they were scheduled for 45 mins and 30 mins each, resp. This similarly happened with one my ex-colleagues too. So if they want to chuck you out, you'd last 20 mins with them. If it lasts for the intended durations, then you can imagine about getting through!
I went through 7 rounds which lasted for 1.5 months. In the end I was told that my Tech and CSE skills are upto the mark for them.
I mean if the tech skills were not upto the mark then they should have said no after 3rd round itself. It only reflects the incompetence in their hiring process which only ends up harassing and mentally draining the candidates!
On top of that, the HR is also rude! Would never reply for your queries. Would only come back when you are asked for your availability for the subsequent rounds!
This has been similarly reported by everyone over Glassdoor who have appeared for interview for this role! And yet these guys don't learn....
