Deloitte Consulting Interview Experience
I recently interviewed for a Consulting role at Deloitte. The process was structured, professional, and designed to assess both technical and behavioral aspects.
1. Online Assessment (OA):
The first round was an aptitude and logical reasoning test. It included quantitative aptitude, verbal ability, logical reasoning, and a few business case-based questions. The difficulty was moderate, and time management played a key role.
2. Case Study / Group Discussion:
The shortlisted candidates were divided into small groups and given a real-world business case scenario. Our task was to analyze the problem, discuss possible solutions, and present a conclusion. The evaluators observed our problem-solving approach, teamwork, communication, and ability to handle counterarguments.
3. Technical / Case Interview:
This round was one-on-one with a manager. I was asked to solve a consulting-style case problem. The interviewer checked my analytical thinking, structured approach, and how I broke down the problem into smaller components. I also got questions on Excel, Power BI, SQL, and data analysis, as my profile leaned toward analytics.
4. HR / Behavioral Interview:
The final round focused on my background, motivation for joining Deloitte, and long-term career goals. Questions followed the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to evaluate leadership, adaptability, and client-facing skills. I was also asked why I wanted to join consulting and how I would handle challenging clients.
