I applied through other source. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at EY (Canberra) in Feb 2016
Interview
They approached me through LinkedIn. I had a meeting with a Partner, at which it was decided that they did not have an immediate need and we should keep in touch. 14 months later, I was made redundant, and I made contact again. The same Partner set up a meeting with a junior Partner, and then a further phone meeting with another Partner. I am told they are preparing a business case to employ me, and this needs to be approved by the national lead Partner. I anxiously await the results...
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
As this was an experienced hire, a lot of questions to determine my level of expertise and breadth of existing network.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at EY (New York, NY) in Oct 2015
Interview
I was referred by an EY employee. Very poor experience overall. The recruiter scheduled a phone screen but did not call at the scheduled time. I had to follow-up and then received an abrupt call from the recruiter. No apologies or explanation. Was asked a few general profile related questions. The recruiter wasn't sure about where to forward my profile and instead asked me dig through the career portal and identify job codes. I replied back with the jobs that I was interested in. Did not receive a response for a week. Followed up a week later and another phone screen was scheduled. The phone screen was then again rescheduled last minute. On the day of the phone screen, I again did not receive the call from the recruiter and had to instead call her. The recruiter asked exactly the same questions that she asked the first time. She assured that we'll be moving forward soon with the opportunities for which I had expressed interest. Did not receive any response from the recruiter even after following multiple times over a period of 2 more weeks.
Very disappointing experience. Not expected at all from a Big 4 firm.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at EY (Londen, Engeland) in Jun 2015
Interview
CV and cover letter were submitted via the online portal. I was then contacted by email to conduct a screening telephone interview. This concentrated on management style with a lot of detail about their business model. The second stage of the interview process was face to face interview with partners.
