I applied online. I interviewed at Environmental Protection Agency (Dublin, Dublin)
Interview
Invited for first round interview. The receptionist upon arrival was very friendly. The interview was very difficult and uncomfortable. There were three on the panel, with one visibly marking down how I did in each question on his sheet right in front of me on the table, which was unsettling. They tended to ask very similar questions, meaning you had to repeat yourself a little, and on tough questions where I was visibly struggling they didn't interject at all or reword for assistance. In my opinion, they require someone who ticks various boxes to strategically fit a certain qualification, and don't care much for personality or anything individualistic. While I thought it was very difficult and an unpleasant experience, they were quick in sending feedback, which I apparently did quite well in.
I had two interviews via Teams after submitting my application. Both interviews primarily focused on discussing the experiences and qualifications detailed on my resume, along with related aspects of my application.
