It was a telephone interview, and they sent me a blank Google Doc to have open at the same time. Then they asked me a question and I had to code the solution inside the Google Doc. The interviewer was hard to understand, and coding on Google Docs is difficult, but overall it was a fun experience.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Google (Remote, OR) in Oct 2018
Interview
I was contacted on the phone and had some technical questions. One of which was medium and the other one was too easy. The interviewers, however, were not helpful and gave short and one word answers to my questions.
I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Google in Oct 2018
Interview
I applied in early September and got online coding challenge in mid September(very easy). Then I entered the phone interviews(mid difficulty). Passed phone interviews and entered project matching phase in mid October. Host matching the worst part of the interview process, because you never know when or will you get a host matching interview. For almost 4 months I didn't get any host matching interview. But luckily my recruiter was able to find a team that willing to give me a shot. Then I had a great a conversation with my manager, he was really nice and explained to me the project and the team.
Host matching interview was really laid back and not technical. Basically asking if you have some experience and see if you care interested in the project and team.
