I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at IKEA in Sep 2020
Interview
I applied online.
-Received an email asking me to do a recorded interview (when you record your own answers and send them off)
-Then received another email asking to do a video interview
-He said I would hear back no later than 10 days after the interview.
I was fairly confident, the interview lasted about 25 mins, and I feel I answered everything well.
But then I received 2 missed calls from IKEA, so I thought I had got the job, I tried ringing the number back but nothing, I finally managed to get through using the absentee line, and the guy who interviewed me just said he only wanted to know if I was aware where the store was, I said yes. So I was even more confident I had gotten it if they were asking me that! But then got an email an hour later saying I was rejected. Very Frustrating!!

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at IKEA (Warrington, North West England, England) in May 2016
Interview
So there are 3 stages to this. First of all there is a phone interview, mine lasted very brief and didn't seem to much dependant on weather you get invited to the assessment centre. The person asked me questions such as 'What do you no about ikea' and 'Tell me about yourself'. Then I got invited to the assement centre which I was very nervous for but Infact it was the easiest part. Very laid back and relaxed. Firstly we all sat in a circle and there was a bunch of products on the table, we had to pick one which resembles us and then each take it in turn to tell eachother about ourselfs, why we chose IKEA and why we picked the product. We then were put in groups and had to come up with a product and present it to the rest of the group. Finally we had to come up with 5 key concepts of customer service. They then said there will be brief individual interviews which were very relaxed. I then got a phone call a few days later to say I have been succesful and I would be invited for a 1-1 interview. This is were it gets hard. The questions they asked for me I found really difficult. They asked me what is one thing I changed in my previous roles business and name one time you worked well with another person and explain it. If you don't have much expirience like me, then it is hard to answer tough questions. I am awaiting a phone call but am not promising as to weather I will get the job as my interview was a disaster.
